Japanese Cuisine

Japanese cuisine means traditional style Japanese food
Rice was usally boiled plain and called gohan or meshi,Peasants often mixed millet with rice. In 675 A.D Emperor Temmu decreed the eating of cattle, horse, dogs, monkeys, and chickens during the 4th and 9th months of the year if you broke the law it would be a death sentence. Monkey was eaten to in a ritualistic style for medicinal purposes.Chickens were often pets.A cow or horse would be ritually sacrificed on the first day of rice paddy cultivation, a ritual introduced from China.But people could still eat deer or wild boar, which were important to the Japanese diet.The 8th century had many additional decrees made by emperors and empresses on the ban of killing of animals.One emperor even decreed fishing.www.localwin.com/.../lu10/japenese_cuisine.jpg

Hi, this is Joe. I am here to tell you about the culture of languages in East Asia. Amanda will do a blog too, but you can scroll up later.


The dialect is different here than in America. They speak differently, I'm lost and I'm cryi..... Amanda is yelling and I'm like, I should blog instead of being bored, right?
